The Right to Confront Your Accusers “Lab Scientists Included”

The 6th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution provides:   “In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right  ……… to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor…”

The Annie Dookhan Massachusetts drug lab scandal is another example of how you need a good lawyer to protect you by questioning individuals offering evidence against you.  Justice is not served by allowing a piece of paper to be viewed as conclusive authority.  The right to confront is sacred and should be protected.
